Deep Drop Commercial Pulley Block
The Deep Drop Commercial Zr02 Ceramic Bearing Pulley Block has been designed and manufactured in Australia for use in deep water bottom and line fishing using fine synthetic braided lines such as Dyneema or Spectra or monofilament.
It has been manufactured with precision and fine tolerances to run true under load for commercial fishing operations where a high resistance to salt water corrosion is required.
The main body and pulley wheel is injection moulded using extremely tough and UV stabilised Glass Filled Nylon .

Deep Sea Fishing Hydraulic Reel
This fishing reel is aimed for trolling and longline fishing in deep sea. It is equipped with an aluminium interchangeable drum fixed on an hydraulic regulating clutch/ brake. The drum can hold 1500m of lines (Ø1.2mm).
The line hauling is free from the disconnected drum and the turn is helped by the progressive brake.

Long-Lining and Deep Water Fishing
Jo Rowley has been a pioneer in commercial line fisheries in the South West Pacific for over 35 years.
He was a leader in the East Coast Tuna and Billfish Fishery and one of the first to develop deep setting techniques for Big Eye Tuna and Albacore in the Coral Sea.
In the early nineties, Jo helped establish the fishery for Broadbill Swordfish off South East Queensland where it quickly developed to a catch of 2,500t each year. He also completed a survey for the Government of Tonga targeting Swordfish in their fishing zone.
Since retiring from long-line fishing, Jo has developed new techniques using the latest advances in synthetic fibre, custom designed hydraulic reels, and advanced electronics to target deep water species with reduced by-catch of unwanted or vulnerable species.
