Objective
To describe the Minor-Line method of fishing as it relates to harvesting Blue-eye Trevalla on offshore seamounts.
Background
Current negotiations to regain fishing access to the Taupo and Barcoo Seamounts off eastern Australia using the ‘Minor-Line’ method is related to the protection of gulper sharks, particularly Harrisson’s Dogfish (Centrophorus harrissoni).
